Males

Tank is a “slow walking -
slow talking kind of guy”!
He is sweet and lovable and would rather be in my lap than
anywhere else. While he is not a particularly large cat – he
is massive! He has produced some huge male kittens. Tank
carries both dilute and solids along with the disposition
that I am delighted to center my breeding program around.

Jack is a very
handsome young male with a lot of “spectator appeal”! His
red is a deep mahogany – which I am hoping he will pass on
to his red kittens – along with his size, boning and
personality. Every time I look at Jack’s head, I am reminded
of a southern term – “cat head biscuits”! He definitely has
a big head and is an all around impressive cat. He is
affectionate and fastidious and we anxiously await Jack’s
first kittens due in February.
Females

Fire is an
exquisite Lady. Everyone responds the same way to meeting
Fire for the first time – whether you like her coloring or
not – SHE TAKES YOUR BREATH AWAY!
Appropriate adjectives for Fire are - Regal, aloof,
dignified, reserved, refined – the list goes on. She is a
good size female with ample boning, a beautiful profile,
chin, muzzle and overall outstanding head type. I am forever
grateful and appreciative to Judy Lindemann of Y1Kat for her
generosity in entrusted Fire to us. Fire’s highest calling
in life is that of a mother . . . She loves her kittens and
any others that may be around – she will nurse and care for
them all – her whole continence blooms when she is with
kittens. SHE IS A TREASURE!

What a story
Laurel has!! She was one of five Cabincoon female kittens –
all Brown Patched Classic Tabbies with white born to a Blue
Tabby with White. I picked her out in the first pictures I
saw of the litter. When I visited Gene and Gigi I was told
that I didn’t want her – she was shy and the smallest . . .
Gigi and I spoke often and gradually #5 become #4. A couple
of weeks latter she moved up to #3. Shortly before getting
Laurel she had moved to one of the top two! They were right
in their reevaluation, and she is a constant reminder to me
as to WHEN you make a final decision on kittens to keep!
The judges were equally taken with her. In addition to her
outstanding confirmation, her show personality was over the
top! She loved it and had the capability to capture the
judges’ attention! She is a dense girl with good bone and
muscle, fabulous ears and set, with a delightful profile and
chin. We have already kept a Red Tabby female from her first
litter, Confederate Rose, and are anxiously awaiting her
second litter. We definitely have a “play it forward”
attitude towards Gene and Gigi for sharing this gorgeous
female with us! Their joy and generosity in sharing the best
of Koti is overwhelming!

Charlotte is so much like her
mother in both looks and personality. Everything that I have
said about Fire can be said of Charlotte - in a slightly
smaller version and a different color. We are looking
forward to the kittens she produces with both “Tank” and
“Jack”!

When I heard
that “Syd” (Calicoon Agt. Bristow) had a solid blue female
kitten out of “Tank” my heart skipped a beat. Early on in my
breeding program, I had a solid blue male that I was
persuaded from keeping as a stud cat because he was BLUE and
SOLID. While I do not regret that decision, I would consider
a “do over”. When she tested DNA negative, it became a “done
deal”! “Velvet” has a bigger than life/over the top
personality! She shows respect only to those who have earned
hers. She is the most interactive involved kitten I have
ever had. She still has a slight ghost pattern (Classic), a
long, lean, muscular body with a tail to match – easily
touches her head! Speaking of her head it is beautifully
proportioned in length and width, with a slight concavity to
her profile and a strong, deep chin. For my breeder friends
- who are “dying for” a dilute Calico – this could be the
female that makes it happen . . . You know who you are . . .
:)

One of the many
joys in breeding and raising Maine Coons is when a kindness
is returned! Such is the case with “Bumblebee”! Several
years ago, Pennie and Sharon of Coonpaws received a young
male from us in return for a future kitten for breeding. As
the saying goes, timing is everything. Years went by and I
considered the I.O.U. as a “lifeline” for a future outcross.
With emotions similar to finding forgotten money in a coat
pocket, a treasure was returned - Bumblebee became ours!
What a treasure she is - dressed up in a “coat of many
colors” with a rock solid, long rectangular body, along with
a beautiful profile and muzzle. She has the sweetest/impish
expression. I often find myself tugging on her ears a bit
and hoping against all logic that she will sprout some tips!
Her magnificent plume of a tail CONTINUES to grow – what
seems like daily! We look forward to her maturity and
joining the ranks of our breeding females. We delight in the
possibilities for exceptional solids that she brings to our
breeding program.
Rising Starlet

WHAT WAS I
THINKING!!
I have my husband to thank for “You need to hold onto that
Red Girl for awhile”! I have to restrain myself on the
superlatives I want to lavish on this fabulous kitten! At
four months she is larger than any male kitten I have
raised, every aspect of her confirmation is “text book”, she
is constantly purring and loves nothing more then being in a
lap. I embrace Forrest Gump’s quote “Pretty is as pretty
does.” She is a jaw dropping beauty, but that’s just my
opinion
