She is an 8-month-old Jack & Laurel kitten “Scarlet” in her special seat, is less than happy to have “those two kittens” traveling with them! “DUKE” Penny and Dennis going home with “Br’er CoonThe Duke of Vinings”! We are hoping he will be a suitable playmate for 1-year-old Maddie. Maddie is a Cameo female and the littermate of our “Charlotte” NEXT Lisa and Tom go home with Br’er Coon Leonardo DaVinci “LEO” While Lisa opted out of the photo op, Killian acted as if he would prefer “that this one” would stay with him!   Leo and Duke have both gone to their new homes. Br’er Coon Tiger Louise Has a new home! Amy and her mother Joanne picked Louise up on March 18 for a long ride back to Roanoke, VA Even though Joanne “appears” to be in the background, I think she has been the influence behind Amy persuading me to let Tiger Lilly be theirs also! I am sure I saw “love at first sight” on Joanne’s face when she first laid eyes on Lilly!! Amy is helping Louise say good-bye to her friends and “first mom”. Br’er Coon Jump ‘N “Jack” Flash This is Jack on his favorite chair. It’s his favorite because he gets to keep a “look out” for the chipmunk that scoots back and forth outside. “Jack” is a very easygoing boy . . . Br’er Coon Jump ‘N Jack Flash Here’s “Jack” enduring my picture taking to chronicle turning 7 months old tomorrow. He sleeps a lot which I think equates to growth!! Our plan for Jack is to earn his Grand Champion status and then put him to “work” making kittens!! He indicated to me, three months ago, that he was very interested in that vocation!! “Banjo’s” owner, Cere, came this past weekend for a “kitten fix”. She spent the night in our guest room which is Jack’s “domain”. I’m not at all sure of what happened, but she hasn’t stopped talking about him, she emailed me when she got home requesting that she, and her husband Steve, have “first dibs” on Jack when he is retired!!! “First dibs” GRANTED RETIRED FEMALES Br’er Coon Vivian Bright “Vivian” is three years old and has given us three beautiful litters. She is the mother of “Paprika” who in turn is the mother of “Jack”. Her coloring is what is referred to as a “reversed” Patched Tabby, which means she is more Red Tabby than Brown Tabby. Vivian views life is a “bowl of cherries”!! Vivian flew on Friday, via Delta Airlines, to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, She was picked up by Vi for the two hour ride to Keokuk, Iowa Vivian will make her new home there until they go to New York in June. Br’er Coon Paprika Is in her new home with Lynn in Charlotte, NC She also has a NEW NAME “Evangeline” She is a big girl with a delightful personality, and her Red and White color is an answered prayer for Lynn! While here to pick up Paprika, Lola tugged at Lynn’s heart. Paprika and Lola shared “all” as newborn kittens – including mommies! They have been together ever since as best buddies. Br’er Coon “Lola” Rider seemed to miss Paprika after she left . . . We will be dropping Lola off to Lynn on our way to Myrtle Beach! The “girls” are back together again! Lola also has a new name . . . “Sarah Madeline” Lynn tells me they “didn’t miss a beat” in reestablishing their friendship! They picked right back up with Evangeline still tolerating Sarah Madeline’s “antics”! I love happy endings!   Br’er Coon’s Fire N Ice of Y1Kat Has joined Judy Lindemann’s Y1Kat Cattery in San Antonio, TX, For her breeding program Both of “Jack’s” brothers have gone to their new homes This is Br’er Coon Maximilian as he is about to leave for his first flight! Emma and Suzan along with a friend are pictured above on the long awaited “delivery day”. Maximilian seems to be settling in beautifully, and I don’t think he could be loved more!! The head of the family is adjusting well also and now recognizes the little chunks in the cute container are not a new kind of snack but Max’s CAT FOOD. For all those who don’t know, Larry says “Max’s food is not very tasty”! “Rose” offers “Blue Ella” some tender farewell words prior to her leaving for her new home. Blue Ella is weighed and checked in, by Delta, just prior to flying to her new home with Kate and Brian in Frisco, Texas. She arrived safe & sound, and is busy getting acquainted and making her way into their hearts. Bonnie receives hers and Stan’s new “bundle of joy”. While the kitten’s constant purring was very audible, similar sounds coming from Bonnie, in the form of ooohs and aaaahs, were equally as loud and appreciative. The kitten will help comfort Stan as he convalesces from back surgery! ANOTHER MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN! CA and Charlene with “Sanford” before taking him home. Their hearts were set on a red male, and there was only ONE in this litter! I think they fell in love on their first visit. They are dedicating a private get-to-know-each-other weekend at the lake, before introducing him to Sabastian, their older Maine Coon, and Bailey a 100-pound Golden Retriever. As avid University of Georgia fans, you know the inspiration for his new name! CA and Charlene came to the house to pick up “Sanford”, so the remaining littermates were able to say their “good-byes”. . . . On the other hand, is it just the curiosity of a different carrier . . . ? What a wonderful Christmas present! Nate was able to keep it a secret from his family, right up until they walked in the house and saw the kittens! It was a week early, but a wonderful Christmas surprise!!
